Systema HQ in Toronto is definitely a place to meet old friends and make plenty of new ones! If you have not had the chance to visit and are wondering what the experience would be like, wonder no more! Instructor Gary Bernier tells you all you need to know in his article Training at Toronto HQ. If you get the chance to visit HQ then do go - it's a life changing experience!

I'm recently back from a weekend training with Valentin Talanov. At the end of the session we had an extended Q&A session and I'm pleased to present some of the material discussed here. There was a lot more, but if you missed out you can now ask Valentin questions direct at his new Facebook page (see News)

As well as these articles we also have our Five Minute Class feature, Virtual Systema, workshop reports and the first part of an article on How to Read Body Language. Please get in touch if you have any comments about the magazine or would like to contribute in any way. By the way - we have a new link feature this issue, you can click on many of the pictures in ads to follow a link . Issue Four will be out in late May, so until then Happy Training!

EDITORIAL

Welcome to Issue Four of Systema International!

I'm happy to announce that as we go to press I've learnt that the magainze has had over 3,000 views since our first issue was published! So a big thanks to everyone who has supported SI over the last six months. Our readership is now truly international, with subscribers from the UK, Europe, Canada the US and the Far East. It's great to see how Systema is becoming an "international language" and my feeling and experience is that when you meet felow practitioners from far away places it's like meeting an old friend!

I'm sure you will find this issues just as interesting and informative. Our main feature is an interview with Valentin Talanov, one of the teachers who was around at the birth of modern Systema. Valentin is an excellent instructor with deep understanding of Systema as well as a wealth of stories on training in the "old days", some of which he shares in our interview
