Why did you join HOSA?

At first, I joined HOSA because it seemed like a fun club that all of my friends were in. Over the years however, I soon came to realize that HOSA is a professional organization that can provide its members with limitless opportunities to grow as both professionals and leaders. It soon became so much more than an extracurricular and began opening doors I never could have imagined.

What was your position(s) during your term as a state officer and what were you responsibilities?

During my time as a state officer, I had the honor to serve Arizona HOSA for two terms. My first term was from 2015 to 2016 where I served as the Arizona HOSA Region 2 Vice President, and the second was from 2016 to 2017 where I was able to serve as Arizona HOSA’s State President. In my first term, I was responsible for connecting with both the members and advisors of HOSA, fulfilling any needed duties as assigned by the president, and presiding over any activities in the absence of the president. As State President, I was responsible for leading the state officer team, acting as the student representative for Arizona HOSA at all official meetings, and leading all state conferences and functions such as our Chapter Officer Leadership Camp, FLEX, and SLC.
