Sewing Instructions
1. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric B
strip to each side of (1) 8 ½” x 10 ½”
Fabric A strip. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 10 ½”
Fabric B strip to the top and to the
bottom of the Fabric A strip to make B
A-block (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (5)
A-blocks total.

4. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric I
strip to each side of (1) 8 ½” x 10 ½”
Fabric H strip. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 10 ½”
Fabric I strip to the top and to the
bottom of the Fabric H strip to make
H-block (Fig. 4). Repeat to make (4)
H-blocks total.

3. Use a ruler to trim (1) CAB block as shown in Fig. 3 to
make (1) Block One. The block should measure
12 ½” x 15 ½”. Repeat to make (5) Block Ones total.
Use a ruler to mark and trim the block
with the angle towards the right to make
(5) 12 ½” x 15 ½” Block Ones

5. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 12 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of (1)
H-block. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 15 ½” Fabric J strip to the top and
to the bottom of the H-block to make (1) JIH block (Fig. 5).
Repeat to make (4) JIH blocks total.

A-block. Sew (1) 3 ½” x 16 ½” Fabric C strip to the top
and to the bottom of the A-block to make (1) CAB block
(Fig. 2). Repeat to make (5) CAB blocks total.

make (1) Block Two. The block should measure
12 ½” x 15 ½”. Repeat to make (4) Block Twos total.
