Thomas Stansfield, Sales and Marketing Director of SWW, comments on why it is important for Wills to be registered: “Testamentary freedom is incredibly important. It is the right of the Testator to have their expressed final wishes fulfilled from the latest Will. Registration of the Will kept in secure storage protects those wishes until the time they need to be known. A Testator spends money on their estate planning. Not ensuring it can be found could seem to be a waste of that money.” Will Registration is proven not only to protect the testator’s estate from being distributed incorrectly but also to prevent the loss of probate income because registered Wills are found that otherwise would have been overlooked.
