Committee Proposed Procedures
for
Adopting Rules of Conduct and Procedures
for the
Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter of Jack & Jill of America,
Inc.
Approved by the Chapter on April 19, 2011
Purpose: The purpose of these procedures is to (1) establish a process for adopting
Rules of Conduct and Procedures for the Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter of Jack
& Jill of America, Inc. (the “Chapter”) pursuant to the Chapter Bylaws, and (2) to
ensure continuity within and between the Chapter’s Rules of Conduct and
Procedures and all other National, Regional and Chapter governing documents.
Defined Terms: Terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the same meaning
set forth in Chapter Bylaws.
I.
Submission of Procedures for Consideration:
A. Member Submissions
1. Any Member of the Chapter may submit a procedure or procedures,
which address any aspect of Chapter operations, for consideration by
the Chapter body.
2. All procedures submitted for consideration must be made in writing,
preferably (but not required) on the Proposed Rules of Conduct and
Procedures Form provided by the Bylaws Committee for such
purposes (see the attached “Exhibit A”). The Bylaws Committee Chair
will provide the current form to any Member upon request.
3. If the proposed procedure is of a general nature, and does not directly
affect the duties/responsibilities of any Chapter Committee, the
Member shall initiate the review process by submitting a written draft
of the procedure(s) to the Bylaws Committee Chair at least calendar
20 days prior to any monthly Mother’s Meeting in which the Member
would like proposed procedure to be considered by the Chapter. The
submission may be made in person, via email, regular mail or fax. The
submission is considered made when received by the Bylaws
Committee Chair. The Bylaws Chair is responsible for confirming the
date of receipt.
4. Any proposed procedures submitted by Members that directly affect
the duties/responsibilities of a Chapter Committee must first be
submitted to the relevant Committee Chair for consideration by said
