The Chapter President may hold an annual retreat in August for the purpose of
preparing the Chapter for the active Program Year (September to May). The Retreat
shall qualify as a Chapter-Sponsored Event. Participation in the retreat shall not be a
prerequisite for participation in/admission to any Special Meeting held in
conjunction with the retreat.
D.
National Convention and Regional Mothers’ Conference. Every Member shall
attend one National OR one Regional Mothers’ Conference OR one Regional Area
workday/cluster conference within each four year period for the duration of her
membership tenure.
Section 2.
Representation at National Convention and
Regional Mothers’ Conference
A.
The Chapter shall be represented the National Convention or pay the National
treasury the cost of registration for a delegate to help defray expenses of the
Corporation. Therefore, the Chapter shall select/confirm and sponsor one (1)
delegate, and one (1) alternate to every National Convention. Said
selection/confirmation shall take place at the February Mothers’ Meeting prior to the
National Convention. The delegate selection/confirmation process shall be governed
by the Delegate Selection Procedures as outlined in the Chapter’s Rules of
Conduct and Procedures.
B.
The Chapter shall be represented at the Regional Mothers’ Conference or pay to the
Regional Secretary-Treasurer the cost of the registration fee for a delegate to help
defray the expenses of the Region. Therefore, the Chapter shall select/confirm and
sponsor one (1) delegate, and one (1) alternate to every Regional Mothers’
Conference. Said selection shall take place at the February Mothers’ Meeting prior to
the Regional Mothers’ Conference. The delegate selection/confirmation process
shall be governed by the Delegate Selection Procedures as outlined in the
Chapter’s Rules of Conduct and Procedures.
C.
Travel Expenses.
1.
The Chapter shall pay expenses for the delegate and the alternate’s
registration, transportation, lodging, and board in amounts calculated
pursuant to the SWSDRCP. Any cost in excess of what the SWSDRCP
provide shall be borne by the traveler. However, the total amount paid or
reimbursed shall not exceed what is approved in the Chapter’s annual
budget (as amended) for the relevant conference (subject to Article VI,
Section 2(C)(2) below).
2.
The Chapter may elect to reimburse delegates and/or alternates for any
amounts spent in excess the budgeted allowance. A Quorum is required.
