“Mothers’ Meetings” or “Regular Meeting” refers to the regularly scheduled, monthly
Chapter meetings as established by the Chapter no later than May 31st of the preceding
Program Year.
“National Executive Board” refers to the elected officers and the immediate past National
President of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated.
“Parliamentary Authority” or “RONR” refers to Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised
(latest version).
“Program Year” is June 1st through May 31st.
“Quorum” refers to one-half (1/2) of the total membership in Good Standing.
“Region” or “Regional” refers to the South Central Region of Jack and Jill of America,
Incorporated.
“Teen Auxiliary” refers to the SWSD Chapter’s All-Stars on the Rise and All-Stars of the
Chapter. These Teens may not be the same as those included in the Teen Group (see below)
“Teen Group” refers to Member children that are at least 13 years of age (as of June 30th of
the following Program Year) through 19 years of age. Note: This term generally applies to a
National or Regional view of the Teen, and not necessarily a Chapter view. These children will qualify to
participate in teen conference that following program year and Members are assessed by Nationals in
anticipation of that transition.

ARTICLE II. Relevant National Bylaws: Chapter Guidelines
Section 1.
Chapter Level of Membership and Participation
A.
A minimum group of fifteen (15) interested mothers, legal female guardians or
female custodial caretakers is required for any chapter membership in the National
Organization.
B.
The Chapter shall be required to maintain a minimum level of membership. Such
level shall be determined by the Regional officers with approval by the National
Executive Board. The Chapter’s level of membership and its activi ty shall determine
its status with the National Organization
C.
If the Chapter membership falls to fewer than 15 members the Chapter will be
subject to a National review of the Chapter and its viability.
D.
Determining factors in the Chapter’s continuance shall be its documented attendance
at conferences, conventions, activity in the community, the ability to carry out the
