Program Committee Proposed Programming Procedures for the Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Inc. As approved by the Chapter on September 21, 2010 The Program Year for the Chapter is from June 1 through May 31. I. A. B. C. D. II. 2 Programming-Related Chapter-Sponsored Activities2 Jack & Jill Day (September) Christmas Party (December); this event MAY qualify as a Chapter-Sponsored event for the purpose of providing participation credit for a child pursuant to III(B) hereof ONLY IF the children of the Chapter are invited to participate. Black Family Day (May) Members must participate in at least one Chapter-Sponsored Event per Program Year. Participation includes planning and/or attendance. (SWSD Bylaws Article III, Section 2(A)(7)(f)). The Program Director shall be responsible for tracking participation. Age-Group Activity Sponsorship A. Sponsorship herein shall be defined as: planning and organizing. Sponsorship does not require that a sponsoring Member cover the costs of the participating Members and children. This rule does not prohibit a Member from covering some or all of the activity costs if she desires to do so. B. A Member must sponsor at least one activity per child for each of their children’s age-groups. Chapter-Sponsored Events do not qualify as Member-Sponsored Age-Group Activities (unless approved by a majority of the Chapter Membership at a Mothers’ Meeting or a Special Meeting). (SWSD Bylaws Article III, Section 2(A)(7)(e)). C. Any Member that fails to sponsor one age-group activity per child by May 31st may be terminated. D. A Member may sponsor an Age-Group Activity during months that the Chapter hosts a Chapter-Sponsored Activity (for which participation credit will be provided pursuant to III(B) hereof). Member-children may attend both events but are only REQUIRED to attend either the Chapter-Sponsored event or the Age-Group Does not include Founders’ Day, as it is not a Programming-related activity.
