SBN partners with other youth media networks around the world and our friends at Radijojo in Germany are delivering excellent initiatives for creating sustainable communities across the globe! ‘Something small can make a big difference!’ Anvna Lindh primary students welcomed a very special guest: Angel from Tanzania in Africa - Angel is the granddaughter of famous chimpanzee researcher and UN messenger of peace, Dr Jane Goodall. Jane also initiated the youth program Roots & Shoots. The German students spent one day with Angel on an organic farm in Berlin and learnt about Roots & Shoots, the work of Angel’s grandmother and all the little things even children can do to make the earth a better place. Listen to the podcast here. ‘There is enough food in the world - why do so many people starve then?’ Together with their partners from AFRC India and Peace Gong, Anna Lindh primary students exchanged ideas and informations about ‘sustainable agriculture’. They also talked to an expert: Alashiya Gordes from FAO – the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations. They discussed with Alashiya about the work of the FAO, about a solution to end starvation and how to feed all people in the world without polluting the environment.
