Having stumbled into the multimedia tent at the Big Chill back in 2005 the nonsuchdjs witnessed one of the most spellbinding musical performances ever, changing their perceptions of music, musical structure and pretty much everything else relating to performance as they knew it. They’ ve since seen Efterklang live more times than they can count, from small under-supported gigs at Norwich Arts Centre to Britten Sinfonia backed performances at the Barbican in London.
The Ghost of Piramida was released to critical acclaim in 2012 and is directed by Andreas Koefeod. The film is based on the album Piramida, the album itself being based around field recordings made on a visit to Piramida a deserted mining town in the arctic circle. The album received critical reviews. There will be a free after-party across the road at The Swan with the nonsuchdjs on the decks.
Film tickets are free but limited nonsuchdjs. eventbrite. co. uk
Jointly funded by nonsuchdjs and Switch Fringe this is a free showing of the second Efterklang film The Ghost of Piramida.
