So Beautiful! Extreme Music Fest 2

FREE The Mulberry Tree – 7pm
This wonderful jam night launched in 2012 and has quickly become a firm fixture on the local scene for new and established musicians alike. Their reputation for a warm friendly environment has spread so quickly that they have even started to receive some incredible well known musicians, such as Bellowhead who popped in for a jam after their last gig in Ipswich.

“ An eclectic mix of underground extreme music ranging from drone and ambient to deranged transvestite electrogrind, hardcore punk and death metal”
The Eastern Alternative Review’ s So Beautiful! is back for 2013 as part of Switch Fringe with more delightfully grimy specimens from underneath the otherwise clean and polished fingernails of the East Anglian music scene, such as:
Old Man Lizard- Heavy stoner / blues awesomeness for fans of things which are good. Kemakil- Old school thrash metal for fans of Kreator, Anthrax etc. The Domestics- Old school hardcore for fans of Exploited, OFF! and punk rock in general. Casual Nausea- 5 piece punk rock with 3 singers and a sense of urgency largely stemming from blind panic. Forced Existence- Raw hardcore punk with members of Dangers Close / Fallen Humanity and loads of other bands. Social Rut- Ex members of Colchester noise rockers Leers Hirn return with a face destroying lo-fi grind assault that will offend all sensibilities. The Wand Erection Allstars- A noise collaboration featuring Talking Sleeve, John Bowers, Terry Burrows, Buttercup Insurgent, Bear, Ryan Jordan and James Rowe. Albion- A brand new bunch of young punk upstarts proving that punk rock will never die, regardless of how much you may all wish it would.
