The basic jumpshot
Wrist
The dominant hand which is recognized as the power of the jumpshot
must always end up in a curled wrist. When you bend your knees and
jump, the power from your legs must ?ow to your arms. When the
power has gone to your hands, you have to ?ick your wrist, this will
rotate the ball toward yourself. The importance of ?icking your wrist is
crucial because it helps increasethe chance of making a jumpshot; the
ball rotates and will hit the backboard or the back of the rim eventually
ending up in a score.
