Restoring the
Bigelow Chapel’s Great Rose Window dates to 1845 and is among the earliest
stained glass in the United States. An important example of Scottish stained glass in
this country, it was commissioned by founder Jacob Bigelow as an integral part of his
design for the Chapel. The completed project will restore the integrity of the original
design and reclaim the grace and refinement of the Great Rose Window.
