FIRST FRIDAYS:
Family Digitization Days
In conjunction with the launch of the Cemetery’s online Memorial
Pages, we are pleased to offer an exciting new program to digitize
photographs and memorabilia relating to individuals buried and
commemorated at Mount Auburn.
Mount Auburn’s free FIRST FRIDAYS: Family
Digitization Days program will be held on the first Friday
morning of every month, between 10 AM and 12 PM.
During each 30-minute session, Mount Auburn staff will
scan or take photographs of memorabilia that help tell the
story of your loved ones. Your original materials will be
returned to you and you will be given a flash drive with
the new digital files, which you will then be able to upload
to the Cemetery’s online Memorial Pages.
What can be digitized?
Please bring 2-dimensional memorabilia such as portraits
or family photographs, scrapbook pages, awards, letters,
and other items under 11 x 17 inches to be scanned. Small
3-dimensional objects will be photographed.
How many items can I digitize?
During each 1/2 hour session we have time to digitize or
photograph 3-5 items. You are welcome to make additional
appointments if you have other materials.
How do I sign up?
Each 30-minute session is by appointment only. Register
for an upcoming session by calling 617-607-1980 or
register online at: www.mountauburn.org/FirstFridays
