The Laurel Circle Lecture Series
The Friends of Mount Auburn debuted the Laurel Circle Lecture Series in 2023 to highlight Mount Auburn ’ s position as a venue for delving deep into topics of interest to our community , including art , history , landscaping , and more . Last year ’ s lecturers included Anthony Amore ( Author and Security Director of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum ), David Gergen ( former White House Staffer and Political Commentator ), and Gary Hilderbrand ( Harvard Graduate School of Design Chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture ). In May 2024 , Cannon Hersey and Taku Nishimae gave an enrapturing lecture on their experience documenting the trees that survived the 1945 atomic bombing of Hiroshima . Be on the lookout for more speaker announcements this year by subscribing to our e-newsletter and visiting our website !
