This issue is dedicated to Jennifer Johnston , the outgoing Editor of Sweet Auburn Magazine .
Jennifer commenced her journey at Mount Auburn in 1997 , embarking on a remarkable 26-year tenure with a diverse range of visitor services , media , and communications roles at the Cemetery . In 2013 she went from being the Photo Editor of the Magazine to Managing Editor and in 2021 she was promoted to Editor . Jennifer transformed Sweet Auburn into a modern publication with in-depth articles and vibrant images , the majority of which she personally shot while wandering the grounds and enthusiastically attending events .
Jennifer has embarked on a new chapter , focusing on graduate school and other artistic endeavors . While her camera lens may no longer be a regular presence at Mount Auburn , her smile , colorful style , and generous heart will be missed by the countless staff , volunteers , and members who had the pleasure of working with her .
