I have spent many memorable times at Mount Auburn Cemetery , and a truly special one was a day in late October 2020 , in the midst of the pandemic . The trees were in full autumn colors and the bushes still had their leaves when we had an early snowstorm . I zoomed through my Zoom meetings and at lunchtime I rushed to Mount Auburn Cemetery to capture something special before the snow started to melt . I spotted a female Cardinal posing faraway on a thick bush , its leaves dusted with fresh powder snow . This is one of my favorite images of all time and one that hangs on a wall in my home .
