Dedicated   to   Shiva   and   Vishnu,   this   temple   is   situated   in   Aihole,   Northern   Karnataka.   This   was  
constructed   by   Chalukyas   in   7th   or   8th   centuries.   “Durga”   means   ‘protector’   here.   This   temple   is  
dedicated   to   Shiva   or   Vishnu   as   the   Lord   Vishnu   representations   are   as   numerous   as   those   of  
Lord   Shiva.
