Each year beginning July 1, the Fireworks Committee introduced the popular“ Grand Boom” countdown— a single ceremonial cannon blast signaling the start of the festivities. Two blasts followed on July 2, and three on July 3 announced that Independence Day had nearly arrived. Since 2021,
Lawrence and Christine Nevitt have hosted the annual Fireworks Committee Dinner, honoring the volunteers whose countless hours of planning and preparation make the celebration possible.

Around 2013, the community introduced its annual Fourth of July Flag Ceremony at the Pro Shop, �������������������������������������������������������� responders, and all others who have faithfully served their country and communities. The gathering features patriotic readings, the National Anthem, the Pledge ��������������� ���� ����������� ��������� ������ ����� �� ������������������������������������������������������ the United States Armed Forces.

That same year, Charles and Brinley launched the ����� ����������� ����� ����� �������� ����� �������� ��� �� simple neighborhood gathering has grown into one of the community’ s favorite traditions, with creatively decorated carts delighting residents and visitors of every age. The couple also hosts the annual Fourth of July Volunteer Social, giving the many contributors a chance to relax, celebrate, and enjoy one another’ s company after another successful celebration.
