man g in ir p s in n a n o R to ll e w re Fa We’re really sad to say ‘goodbye’ to involved resident, Ron White, who died in October 2015. In 1999 he became a founding member of Darvel Down & Areas Residents’ Association, organising outings, events and improving facilities in the Darvel Down area. Ron was dedicated to improving services for all residents. He lived in Sussex but his involvement over many years had a positive impact on all three regions. Because of this he was well known and liked by staff and residents in all areas. Ron came to Netherfield, East Sussex in January 1966. He helped at the local youth club, running a monthly disco where he was affectionately known as ‘Rocket Ron’. He also arranged outings and helped with coaching football and cricket. Ron was a big part of AmicusHorizon and its predecessor, Rother Homes. He served his fellow residents in various capacities including as an Area Panel member and on the Repairs and Maintenance Panel (RAMP). Over the years he was involved with many projects, including the Recreation Ground Committee and the new Village Hall Committee.  - 0800 121 60 60   Ron made a huge impact wherever he went and the community benefitted greatly through all he achieved. Latterly, he was involved with ROAR (Residents of All Rother), providing activities and outings for over 55s in Rother. Ron’s life and commitment was to his family and his local community, he really was an example to us all.  - [email protected]   - www.amicushorizon.org.uk 5
