Did you know that your body is made up of 75-80% water? This is why you need to keep yourself hydrated! You don't have to drink 10 glasses of water a day- there are many other ways to keep yourself hydrated. Fruits and vegetables are sources of water too, and juice, milk, etc, are all ways to keep yourself hydrated. Make sure you're well hydrated at all times, because water keeps your joints moving smoothly, your organs running the way they should, keep your skin clear, and can keep your mind clear as well!

9) Get five to thirteen servings of fruit, vegetables, and whole grain a day in order to make sure you have enough fiber.

DO

Calculate the correct amount of fiber you need per day and consume it all.

DON'T

Leave fiber on the sidelines of your meal!

Fibers are most well known for preventing constipation, which, of course, is important for your body to expel it's wastes and to prevent internal poisoning. However, it does more than prevent constipation- it helps prevent cardiovascular diseases. It can lower the risk of a stroke, and help control diabetes, lower cholesterol, and lower the risk of cancer.

10) Carbohydrates may not be considered an essential nutrient by everyone, but you do need the sugars it can provide you with for the energy your body needs to function every day.

DO

Make sure you consume the proper amounts of carbohydrates/sugars to keep you going.

DON'T

Skip carbohydrates in fear of gaining extra sugars and calories- just keep them in moderate amounts.

Carbohydrates can be taken out of a diet, but if you do this, you must replace the loss with the proper amounts of sugar you need in order to keep your body moving. However, it would be recommended to keep carbohydrates in your diet. They're only 4 calories per gram, and the energy it provides you with is well worth is as long as you can spend the calories.
