Pioneers of the social science major, as well as
the founder of the SURI Organization. Mr. Edgar P.
Aladeza ( former president of SURI),
Mrs. Adeline Llaguno together with Mrs.Aileen
Eborra (H.S teacher) and Ms.Jinky D. Precioso
(elementary teacher), shared their knowledge on
how to teach Social Studies to the future
students.
Afterwards, they also held a workshop in the
afternoon about test construction wherein
participants were divided to form a group .
The said seminar workshop was also participated by the juniors and some freshmen who were
also a member of the SURI organization.

Last September 27,2013, the 2013 Educational Debate was held at the PNU Gymnasium entitled “RESOLVED THAT THE GSSO4 STUDENTS SHALL PREFER ESSENTIALISMN OVER PRAGMATISM AS THEIR PHILOSOPHICAL BASIS OF TEACHING LEARNING
ACTIVITIES.”
As held annually the educational debate was
participated by the juniors divided into two
groups, the affirmative group, in the person of
Shienna Michelle V. Jorvina (III-A), Jenica T.
Tanteo (BSE-III), Nasser M. Nisola(III-A), Eunice
Claire M. Villaruel (III-C), and El Nino L.
The winning group, together with prof. Roel V.Avila( Head for
Academics) on his left,El Nino Bersamina, Nasser Nisola,
Audrey Agudo, Eunice Villaruel, Jenica Tanteo, Shenna Jorvina in her left Prof.Edgardo Villaseñor(Executive Director)
The said debate promoted two
philosophical ideas which are Essentialism and
Pragmatism. Debaters from each group
persuaded the audience by defending their side.
In the end minor award was given to the
affirmative group as the Best Group, while major
awards such as the Best Speaker was bagged by
Nasser M. Nisola of III-A and El Nino Bersamina
of BSE-III was declared as the 2013 Educational
Debate Best Debater.
On the other hand Prof. Arnel J. Delos Reyes,
Prof.Reynald M. Cacho, Prof. Rodante P. Avila,
Jonathan B. Garcia ,2012 best debater served as
the board of judges while Prof. Finaciel D.
Bersamina (BSE-III) while the negative group is
represented by Ma.Francia C. Ilagan(III-A), Glecy
Dylle B. Rabi(III-A), Rose Ann C. Traquena(III-B), Mendoza as the chairman of the board.
The Philosophical Analysis students are
Aldrin Magistrado(III-A), and Jorael Glenn Villanueva (BSE-III) the alternates were Jean Auunder the supervision of Dr. Roel V. Avila and Dr.
brey S. Agudo (III-A) for the affirmative group and
Rebie Marciano.
Mary Rose Dela Cruz (III-A) for the negative.
