new year has begun , brimming with energy , new hope , new ideas . There is no definitive guide , no looking glass . New trends will emerge . There will be moments of magic , moments of surprise , moments of tears . Because humans are not made with perfect precision ; we all think and do things differently . At Sure Travel our job is to understand your difference , to ensure we provide you with wonderful travel experiences , be they for leisure or corporate travel . For the “ suits ” in the corporate world we place a huge focus not only on cost saving , but on your individual needs so that the “ pain points ” of being away from home are recognised and catered for . On page 24 our seasoned travellers give you all the home truths you need to safely trot the globe . Understanding the laws and culture of a country is a critical part of travel planning , and on page 22 we look at
some weird and wonderful laws from around the world . Top of the list of leisure destinations for South Africans are still Thailand ( page 30 ), Zanzibar ( page 44 ), Mauritius and South Africa . Mexico ( page 26 ) and Spain ( page 40 ) are back on travel calendars , with new flights operating to and from South Africa . One of my favourite local spots is beautiful Bonnievale , the valley of cheese and wine . Surrounded by the Langeberg Mountains , with the Breede River as a source of life running through it , it ’ s a very relaxing getaway . Where ’ s your special “ local is lekker ” spot ?
