Digital Product Passports for Circular Supply Chains
the outstanding governance gap that technical standards alone cannot close, and the September 2026 QTSP alignment deadline makes it an immediate programme priority [ 28 ].
The Q3 2026 issue of this journal asks how supply chains are being reimagined, namely circular, smart, and adaptive. The DPP, properly specified as open, vendor-neutral data infrastructure, is one of the most concrete answers Europe will deliver in this decade. Whether that answer scales depends less on regulation and more on the architectural choices the community makes in the next twenty-four months.
