Dear Members ,
Fall has arrived , bringing cooler temperatures and a break from the humidity . It also brings our northern friends back for another season of fun . Everything we do for the foreseeable future will look and feel different . However , the one thing that will remain consistent is golf and our sense of community . We will always be here to take care of each other , no matter what life throws at us .
You have heard me talk about some changes coming in the restaurant for this year . First up is our new menu format . This will commence on October 1st and will feature all the favorites of the past and plenty of new items that will rotate in and out . These changes are based on the results of the survey that went out earlier this year . The menu will feature daily , weekly and monthly specials throughout the year . I also want to remind everyone that the 10 %-member discount will not continue as of October 1st . The hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday , 11:00AM-8:00PM and Sundays , 11:00AM-3:30PM . Bar service on Sunday will continue until 5:30PM . This is also the time of year that we staff up for the busy season . You will notice plenty of new smiling faces ready to make your dining experience the absolute best .
Both golf courses are in great shape heading into the season . With the current times , cart traffic is the biggest concern as we get busier . Single rider carts have almost doubled the traffic the course has seen . We need everyone ’ s help in keeping our courses healthy . We ask that you please double up in carts whenever safely possible and also adhere to all cart policies using the cart paths . Lastly , avoid any areas that are worn or appear to be seeing high traffic .
As always , when the courses get busier , pace of play slows down . Our goal is to always maintain proper pace of play for everyone ’ s enjoyment . 4 hours to 4 ¼ hours is typically a reasonable pace as we get busier . You will notice a larger presence of rangers on the course this year . They will monitor pace of play and ensure everyone is following our golf cart policies . This is usually a thankless job , so we ask that you treat them respectfully as they are there to make sure everyone enjoys their day and follows our procedures .
I look forward to seeing everyone ’ s safe arrival and spending time with all of you this season . I look forward to the day when I can shake everyone ’ s hand again and talk golf with you at the round tables .
