SUPERINTENDENT
The golfing season is in full swing at Sun N Lake and we are excited to have so much going on at the club. We
look forward to a fun and productive season with lots of dry, sunny, and mild temperatures.
One thing that was started over the summer season was to paint lines and install signage in an effort at
controlling traffic near the greens. When these were initially painted staff tried to look at the natural exit
point on a hole, as well as determine problem areas. These lines do move a little so that we can adjust
the exit point to keep one area from getting too beat up. Overall the feeling is it has helped some, but not
everyone adheres to it or understands it.
In general, we are just trying to reduce the amount of stress around greens and in between greenside
bunkers. This will help reduce those tight lies right around the green slopes. The more we can keep cart
traffic to a minimum the better for the health of the turf.
Thanks in advance for your help promoting this program for guests and member. We look forward to seeing
you on the course.
Keeping it green,
Earl McMinn
