I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. I know it’s passing by all too quickly for me!
WDALA’s 2016 Fall Seminar will be held on September 13 and 14 at the Holiday Inn located at 3903 State Street, Bismarck. Seminar topics will include:
•Jamaican Lottery Scam. This presentation involves subtopics of complex litigation, international and interstate investigation, trial strategy and preparation, witness preparation, electronic presentation of evidence, support staff role in large multi-defendant cases, subpoenas, search & seizure, discovery organization, retention & discloser, and post-trial issues;
•Consumer Protection, including consumer fraud, identity theft, data security and more;
•Ethics (trust accounts and other ethical issues);
•Human Trafficking;
•And more!!

Speakers will include a panel from the U.S. Attorney’s office; Parrell Grossman with the North Dakota Attorney General’s office; Kara Erickson with the Disciplinary Counsel; Janelle Moos with the North Dakota Council on Abused Women’s Services (CAWS); and Christina Sambor with the “a Force to end hUman Sexual Exploitation” (FUSE).
The Bismarck education committee is working hard to bring you what I think will be an OUTSTANDING seminar. I look forward to seeing you all there.
