Robotics

Experience the world of robotics! While the younger
students will do more building of robots, older students
will learn to program and build robots from LEGO®,
Mindstorms® and K’Nex®. In addition, students will
learn a bit of the history of robots and see how they are
being used in today’s world, both in science fiction and
real life applications.

Bug Safari

Students will learn about the different types of insects,
both those that are unique to New Mexico and others
that are unique in their own way. Students will learn how
to identify insects using a dichotomous key and how to
pin insects while starting their own collections. Students
should be entering 4th grade or above, so they are able
to manipulate the pinning process with little frustration.
Students will receive their own insect book for keying
insects as well as pinning instructions.
