Have stars in your eyes? On Tuesday evenings throughout the summer, the Ladd Observatory at Brown University in Providence offers the opportunity to watch the clear night sky. Providence is home to the world-renowned Rhode Island School of Design. Graduates of note include British-born illustrator David Macaulay, painter and silhouette artist Kara Walker, glass artist Dale Chihuly, muralist Zio Ziegler and Ethiopian-born visual artist Julie Mehretu.
