On the second day , we all arrived at the SLAS campus early . We boarded our bus to YCIS Puxi and made our way to the gym . We were already in our Math Olympiad t - shirts and also more prepared this time . First we began with a team game where we solved problems together . After a nice snack break of a burrito and pizza , we had the crypto round . We had to encrypt , decrypt and decode math equations , symbols and words in different order . This was challenging and took a while to finish . The caesar cipher was tricky too .
After the challenging cipher round , we moved on to lunch . We had some pizza and salads as well as other options . Some students played football outside while some stayed in the gym and played basketball . We began with a round of ‘ Ken Ken ’ which we had to solve as a team . Ken Ken is a very intersting math game which you can also do at home ! Then we had a round of ‘ Hashi ’, where we drew bridges between the islands . This was difficult as it depended on the speed . We had to run and submit the papers . Then we had a lightning round where we answered a question , ran , got it checked and then ran back to answer the next .
