Experience the joy of crafting a cozy home for local birds at the Tyner Center! In this hands-on workshop, participants will assemble, paint, and take home their own birdhouse, learn about the birds that call the prairie home, and get tips on how to attract feathered friends to your backyard.

Discover the wonders of the natural world with the author of Agnes Knows Nature at the Tyner Center! Experience an engaging, interruption-filled reading as Agnes sets out on a nature walk, uncovering the captivating sights and sounds of a vibrant prairie wetland. Continue the exploration with a guided hike through Kent Fuller Air Station Prairie and hands-on nature activities. Each child’ s registration includes a copy of the book to keep and a chance to get it signed.

Adventure starts here. Young explorers will gear up for this 4-day immersive experience and head into the prairie with their very own Prairie Pathfinder backpack filled with field tools including binoculars, a magnifying glass, compass whistle, flashlight, nature journal and colored pencils. This drop-off adventure is designed to build confidence, curiosity, and outdoor skills while exploring the trails of Kent Fuller Air Station Prairie.
