See lightening bugs as you have never seen them before- from the bottom of the forest floor , all the way to the tops of the tree canopy , and filling every space in between with flickering lights . Become enlightened about the fireflies unique glowing adaptation that is used for communicating territory and mating while delighting in the refreshing taste of a cold brew .

Collect seeds or remove non-native , invasive plants to make way for native wildflowers , grasses and trees . Bring work gloves if you have them and meet at the Interpretive Center . Reservations are requested so we can plan appropriate Work Day activities . Please RSVP to groverestoration @ glenviewparks . org to reserve your spot . Work parties may be cancelled due to inclement weather . For ages 8 +. Volunteers under age 15 must participate with an adult .
