Making life better for the people in our communities has always been a part of the Cox way . Here are a few examples of our employees making the world a better place , while working toward our goal of empowering 34 million people to live more prosperous lives by 2034 .

By making a $ 250,000 donation to Wake Tech Community College in Raleigh , N . C ., for the Hendrick Center for Automotive Excellence , Cox Automotive is helping create a win-win-win for the future . The new center will teach students how to work on both combustion engines and electric batteries to meet current requirements and train for future innovations — preparing them for well-paying jobs and creating a pipeline of talent for the automotive industry .

A new Cox Innovation Lab — featuring laptops , furniture , virtual reality headsets and more — opened at the Ox Hill Club , a new location of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington . Now dozens of youth ages 6 to 12 in Chantilly , Va ., have daily access to technology and will receive afterschool homework help and tutoring .
Children will be empowered to excel in school , thanks to the new Cox Innovation Lab .

Thanks to Cox Communications ’ donation of 28,100 personal protection kits ( nitrile gloves , packet of tissues , bar of soap and bottle of hand sanitizer ), the Society of St . Vincent de Paul in Phoenix , Ariz ., can provide valuable health resources to thousands of homeless individuals . Cox also donated 17,100 packs of alcohol wipes and 1,200 COVID-19 tests to the nonprofit to keep its residents , employees and volunteers safe .
