Valuing Our

VETERANS

The United States has more than 18 million veterans , with around 200,000 active-duty personnel transitioning out of the military every year .
These veterans , as well as members of the Reserves and National Guard , bring with them invaluable discipline , skills and experience that make them excellent employees for companies like Cox .
That ’ s one deep pool of candidates that more and more companies are realizing has yet to be fully tapped .
To differentiate itself in this increasingly competitive pursuit of talent , Cox is working to educate the military community about career opportunities available at Cox for veterans , as well as the dedicated support we offer to those who have served our country . And we ’ re listening to our current veteran employee population to learn how best to recruit and retain former members of the military .
“ Our goal at Cox is to become an employer of choice for these service members ,” said Peter Mahmood , senior recruiter for Cox talent acquisition and a former Army officer of 24 years .
“ The support when I got called up was fantastic .”
Brian Jones , human resources business partner at Cox Automotive and 31-year Army Reserve veteran
“ Cox is amazing . The support leadership shows its veterans , from the top down , is much appreciated and in many instances can lead to veterans assuming impactful leadership positions .”
