Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued the second of three reports on ciimate change. This second report focuses on our adaptablility.

The report found "human-induced climate change is causing dangerous and widespread disruption in nature and affecting the lives of billions of people around the world, despite efforts to reduce the risks." Hoesung Lee, chairman of the IPCC, stated "This report is a dire warning about the consequences of inaction. ."It shows that climate change is a grave and mounting threat to our wellbeing and a healthy planet."

Authoritarianism

February 2022 - Freedom House Report

A recent report of Freedom House, a nonprofit think tank, confirmed the rise of authoritarism. The report concluded the present threat to democracy is the product of 16 consecutive years of decline in global freedom. A total of 60 countries suffered declines over the past year, while only 25 improved.
