Each year , the Clarendon Hills Daisy Dash raises money for charities . This past year , the Daisy Dash committee selected WSHS as one of the recipients . They generously donated $ 1,000 !
The Edward Jones office in Oakbrook Terrace had a donation drive and donated food and supplies to the adoption center .
WSHS hosted a Lunch and Learn with employees from Holladay Properties . This group volunteered at our plant sale , collected and donated supplies for the adoption center and came for a lunch , a tour and a chance to learn more about WSHS .
Castle Chevrolet selected WSHS as their April charity of the month . They donated $ 4,000 to help the animals in our care .
The Fifth grade class at the Religious School of Congregation Etz Chaim donated $ 128 . As part of their studies they have learned that giving back not only makes a difference for others but brings blessings to themselves . After careful consideration and discussion , their class chose WSHS to be the recipient of their righteous deeds .
Corey P ., Sydney P ., Jennifer R . and Mallory R . donated $ 100 to the adoption center from their Girl Scout Troop .
Clara and Ana F . had a lemonade stand and donated the proceeds of $ 18.50 to the adoption center .
Ellery C ., Ian C . and Ellie S . had a lemonade and Rice Krispy Treat stand and donated the proceeds of $ 51 .

The Girl Scout Troops at Arbor View School did a paper towel drive for the adoption center .

Nine-year-old Wesley of Downer Grove had a bake sale in memory of Sibley , their dog that recently passed away . He raised and donated $ 100 .
Mary Hornback , a WSHS volunteer and adopter recently retired . Instead of gifts for her , she asked for donations for the shelter . She donated food , supplies , stamps and over $ 400 in cash and gift cards .
