The spirit of the source material is evident, but not obvious. The final product is an homage both to the skill of the modern maker and also to that of the original sampler and the woman who lovingly sewed every stitch. The same is true of the carpets inspired by the fined line pottery of Acoma Pueblo. See samples that follow:
