What is your current position ? I am currently a shareholder at Ohnstad Twichell , P . C . and practice primarily in the areas of municipal law and public finance .
What is your hometown , college attended , and law school attended ? I am originally from Rochert , Minn . I attended Bemidji State University for my undergraduate degree and the University of North Dakota for my law degree .
What professional work did you do before law school ? I went straight from college to law school , with various part-time , non-professional jobs along the way .
What led you to a career in law ? I saw it listed as a possible career path in my college admissions welcome book , and it sounded interesting .
How long have you been on the SBAND Board ? I was recently elected as the representative for the East Central Judicial District .
What other involvement have you had with SBAND prior to being on the board ? Prior to being on the board , I served as the president of the Women Lawyers Section and as a member of the Consumer Protection Committee .
What is your favorite quote ? “ To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment .” Ralph Waldo Emerson
What is the last book you read ( good or bad )? The last book I read was “ Goodnight Moon ” to my 4-year-old son .
