Rooted in the Community of Ferns
In early 2014, a group of women came together in Ferns Community Centre and set out on a Community Education Arts Course that would not only change them but also their village.
They worked with WWETB tutor Helen McLean, to design, develop, and create a beautiful mosaic for the Marion Grotto Wall on the Enniscorthy road. The group received so much support from the village of Ferns that it has truly become a symbol of their community.
Now after almost 4 years working on the piece that they have named "Rooted in the Community" the wall is complete and was officially launched.
WWETB are very proud to have been able to work with such a dynamic group through our Community Education Programme and we congratulate the group on a job well done.
