GLAD students visited NUI Maynooth
The 5th year GLAD (Growing Learners Academic Distinction) students from Enniscorthy Vocational College had a wonderful visit to the NUI Maynooth. This was the school's first time to visit the campus. The group were warmly welcomed by the colleges' access officers who provided them with a very informative lecture on preparing for college life. Following this they received a grand tour of the campus with college student ambassadors.
Irish teacher Ms. Ryan, (a graduate of NUI Maynooth), brought her current 5th year students to visit where she studied Irish for her degree. During the visit the group bumped into a past pupil from EVC, Georgina Lombard Vance, who is currently in the first year of Music Technology and was delighted to meet and chat with the students about her great college experiences!
Our students were highly complimented for their wonderful manners and eagerness to participate. Indeed, a great time was had by all.
