came to the board in June 2011. At the
time, there was considerable experience
on the board and, as meetings went
by, I became more and more vocal
and involved. I learned a great deal
from those experienced members of
the board. I enjoy being active within
the profession and making sure we
continue to grow and evolve as the
practice changes.
What are your goals as
SBAND President this year?
My goals for this year are to continue
to improve and develop programming
for our members. I would like to
implement a strategic plan for the
association to craft and focus what we are doing, how we can do it
better, and how we can best serve our membership. There is a big focus
on rural justice and access to justice, and it is my desire to focus efforts
in developing programming to address these challenges. I also want
to tap into our resources. We have a tremendous membership base,
