Technical Groups for Anticipatory Action will boost agendas in 5 countries and at regional level

he creation of Technical

Advisory Groups is a milestone that is facilitating the harmonization of mechanisms, but above all, they set in motion the agendas for the integration of Anticipatory Action in national Risk and Emergency Management systems. Currently, five groups

have been established in Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador and Colombia. Each working space at the national level

is usually integrated by government representatives,

National Red Cross Societies, United Nations agencies and other key organizations that are part of the humanitarian country teams. Particularly, the role of Civil Protection of El Salvador in the leadership and coordination of its national group stands out.

Due to the valuable experience involved in the development and activation of Early Action Plans, the National Societies represented in each group have made significant contributions to capacity building and technical advice.

In addition, the Technical Group for Anticipatory Action in Latin America and the Caribbean provides coordinated support to national efforts.

T

Our commitment with the Technical Advisory Groups

is to move forward on the roadmap for Anticipatory Action in each country.
