of Anticipatory Action is one of the challenges in the Americas.

Therefore, empowering leaders capable of promoting actions that support the resilience of at-risk communities is essential.

With this goal in mind, a second edition of the Training of Trainers (ToT) for the Anticipatory Action promoters' course was held from May 29 to June 2 in Valle de Ángeles, Honduras.

The purpose is for Red Cross staff and volunteers to be

ready at key moments whenever the Early Action Plans for the hazards prioritized in each country are activated.

27 representatives from Red Cross National Societies in Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and Germany participated in the training.

The ToT has a learning methodology for adults, and its content includes five theorical and practical modules:

FbF Champions, Introduction to the Forecast-Based Financing (FbF) mechanism, Exploring Early Action Plans, Anticipation by themes (including a scientific-sector approach), and Preparedness & activations .
