More than 55 people participated in the trainings held on November 23 and 24, including both staff and volunteers from the Nicaraguan Red Cross, with 6 branches of the National Society represented.
This capacities' strengthening initiative was developed as part of the
piloting of the first module, "Introduction to Forecast-based Financing (FbF)" of the Training of Trainers (ToT) course about FbF in the Americas, an ongoing process that will be officially launched with the Regional Program's focal points on 2022.
The training's curriculum included presentations about the Anticipation mechanism, awareness-raising exercises, practical team exercises on early action simulations in a fictitious community, as well as introduction to Early Action Plans and their potential in Nicaragua.
