11Register the position of each wheel .
Replacing the tire
When replacing the tires yourself , prepare the necessary tools and a jack .
This vehicle uses wheel bolts .
When using wheels that were installed when the vehicle was shipped from the factory , specialized SUBARU genuine wheel bolts must be used .
If necessary tire replacement seems difficult to perform , contact your SUBARU dealer .
Before jacking up the vehicle
• Stop the vehicle in a safe place on a hard , flat surface .
• Set the parking brake .
• Shift the shift position to P .
• Stop the EV system .
• Vehicles with power back door : Turn off the power back door system . ( �P . 180 )

As your vehicle is equipped with an emergency tire puncture repair kit , the following tools for replacing a tire are not included with your vehicle . They can be purchased your SUBARU dealer .
