Q Electronic parking brake switch/Hill Holder switch 3 2 1 To apply the parking brake, press the parking brake switch 1 firmly. To release, pull the parking brake switch 1 toward you while the ignition switch is in the ON position and the brake pedal (all models) and the clutch pedal (MT models) are depressed. When the parking brake is applied while the ignition switch is in the ON position, the brake system warning light and the indicator light 2 illuminate. Automatic release function The parking brake will be automatically released by depressing the accelerator pedal except in the following conditions. - Any door (other than the trunk lid or rear gate) is open. - The driver’s seatbelt is not fastened. Hill Holder function The electronic parking brake system has a Hill Holder function. The parking brake will be automatically applied when stopping on an uphill slope with the brake pedal depressed. You can activate/deactivate the Hill Holder function by pushing the Hill Holder switch 3 . R Cruise control 1 3 2 4 5 For vehicles with the EyeSight system, refer to Owner’s Manual Supplement. Cruise control indicator The cruise control main button is pressed to activate the cruise control function. Cruise control operates when vehicle speed is 40 km/h (25 mph) or more. 1 To activate: Press the cruise control main button. 2 To set speed: Press the RES/SET switch to the SET side at desired speed and release it. 3 To increase the speed: - Press the RES/SET switch to the RES side and hold it, release at desired speed. - Depress accelerator pedal, and press the RES/SET switch to the SET side at desired speed. - For incremental acceleration, press RES/SET switch to the RES side quickly, each tap = plus 1 km/h (0.6 mph) 4 To decrease the speed: - Press the RES/SET switch to the SET side and hold it, release at desired speed. - Depress brake pedal, and press the RES/SET switch to the SET side at desired speed. - For incremental deceleration, press RES/SET switch to the SET side quickly, each tap = minus 1 km/h (0.6 mph) 5 To temporarily cancel: Press CANCEL button or depress brake pedal or clutch pedal (MT). Return to preset speed after it has been canceled: RES/SET switch to the RES side. 6 To deactivate: Push the cruise control main button. Cruise control set indicator Cruise control is always deactivated when ignition switch is turned to ACC or LOCK.
