Lane Centering Function
Emergency Stop Assist activates under any of the following conditions while Lane Centering Function is operating.
• The system continues not to detect any steering wheel operation, and the system has tried to urge the driver to operate the steering wheel or to operate the steering wheel while keeping their eyes on the road *.
• The driver’ s seatbelt was unfastened, and the system cannot detect that it has been fastened after urging the driver to fasten the driver’ s seatbelt, and the system is urging the driver to operate the steering wheel or to operate the steering wheel while keeping their eyes on the road *.
• The system continues to detect driver inattention or that the driver has fallen asleep, or continues not to be able to detect the driver’ s state, and the system is urging the driver to operate the steering wheel while keeping their eyes on the road *.
*: Alerts to operate the steering wheel while keeping eyes on the road are only for models with Driver Monitoring System.
