Relay operation sounds from the engine compartment and rear of the vehicle . Operation sounds and electric motor sounds when depressing the brake pedal . Vibrations when changing from electric motor driving to engine driving or else when the engine is restarted while stopped ! Pedestrian alert system When driving only using electric motor power (forward and reverse traveling), a sound will be made to alert people in the vicinity that the vehicle is in close proximity. This alert system will operate when the vehicle speed is approximately 15 mph (24 km/h) or less. The pedestrian alert sound may be difficult for people in the surrounding area to hear in the following cases. . The vehicle is in a noisy area. . The vehicle is in the rain or strong wind. It may be more difficult to hear the sound from the rear of the vehicle than from the front. ! Regarding electromagnetic waves High voltage parts and cables (orange) incorporate electromagnetic shielding. They emit almost the same amount of electromagnetic waves as conventional vehicles or home electronic appliances. However, some noise may be emitted when using radio parts. When installing radio parts, consult your SUBARU dealer. ! Screen display You can display the following information on the multi function display. . Status of the high voltage battery . Energy flow between the engine, e lectric motor, high voltage battery and wheels Power from the engine will be displayed in orange, power from the electric motor will be displayed in green and the energy flow charging the high voltage battery will be displayed in aqua.
