If a fire occurs in the vehicle, put it out with a electrical fire extinguisher. If a electrical fire extinguisher is not available, use a large amount of water from a fire hydrant or similar source. ! When disposing of your vehicle WARNING The nickel-metal hydride battery is used as a high voltage battery. For safety, observe the following precautions. . If you are disposing of your vehicle, have a SUBARU dealer remove and collect the high voltage battery. If it is not properly collected, in addition to contributing to environmental pollution, it is possible that the following may occur, resulting in serious injury or death. – An accident involving electric shock that occurs when someone touches the high voltage portions of an illegally dumped or otherwise improperly disposed high voltage battery. – An accident involving electric shock, heat generation, smoke emission, fire, explosion, leaking of the battery fluid, etc., caused by utilizing the high voltage battery in another vehicle. . Do not offer the high voltage battery for resale, transfer, modification, etc. under any circumstances.
