Meters and gauges
the vehicle.
. If you press the TRIP RESET switch while the ignition switch is in the“ OFF” or“ ACC” position, the fuel gauge will light up and indicate the amount of fuel remaining in the tank. The gauge will turn off when the TRIP RESET switch is not operated for approximately 10 seconds.
& Engine coolant temperature gauge
S03AD08
1 Normal operating range
The engine coolant temperature gauge shows engine coolant temperature when the ignition switch is in the“ ON” position.
The engine coolant temperature will vary in accordance with the outside temperature and driving conditions.
We recommend that you drive moderately until the pointer of the engine coolant temperature gauge reaches near the middle of the range. Engine operation is optimum with the engine coolant at this temperature range and high revving operation when the engine is not warmed up enough should be avoided.
CAUTION
If the pointer exceeds the normal operating range, safely stop the vehicle as soon as possible.
Refer to“ Engine overheating” FP455.
& ECO gauge
S03AD12
The ECO gauge shows the difference between the current rate of fuel consumption and the average rate of fuel consumption since the trip meter was last reset.
If the ECO gauge moves towards the right side, this indicates better fuel efficiency.
NOTE
. The ECO gauge shows only an approximate indication of fuel efficiency.
. After resetting the trip meter, the average rate of fuel consumption is not shown until you have driven for 1 mile( or 1 km). Before that time, the ECO gauge does not operate.
